Florida adds a commitment from defensive end Bryan Cox, Jr. (Photo by Scott Cunningham/Getty Images)
Bryan Cox, Jr. has committed to Florida, according to ESPN’s Derek Tyson, giving the Gators 19 verbals in the Class of 2012. Cox will add some much-needed depth at defensive end and may get an opportunity to play the buck position.
Rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, Cox received the green light to commit this weekend after being asked to wait by the Florida coaching staff.
The Cox commitment makes it three years in a row that the Gators have landed a prospect out of St. Thomas Aquinas, with Cody Riggs signing in 2010 and Marcus Roberson in 2011. Florida will try to dip back into the St. Thomas Aquinas pool again next year for elite Class of 2013 defensive lineman Joey Bosa.
Cox’s father, Bryan Cox, Sr., spent 12 seasons in the NFL.

Yep.
Handful of recruiting reporters on Twitter saying another should be public pretty soon. Probably no later than tonight.

Flagators or someone who knows
I’m just curious, since I assume he was asked to wait because UF was waiting to see if they got a commitment from someone else, who was it yall missed on that gave Cox Jr the greenlight?
Congrats on the pickup by the way.
